Foundation Stage
In Foundation Stage we take a very hands on approach and our children are provided with a large variety of equipment and technology to develop their digital skills. Provision includes BeeBots, iPads, computer play tables and interactive learning opportunities on the Smart Screen.
Key Stage 1
In Year 1 and 2 children are taught ICT weekly. We extend our children’s understanding and growing skills through the use of word programs, art and creative applications, and a variety of programming systems. Children are taught the importance and uses of algorithms, linking them to everyday life.
Key Stage 2
In Key Stage 2 children really develop cross curricular links as well as continuing with weekly Computing lessons. Pupils use technology to discover new information, further their learning and aid their metacognition. Children’s creative skills are nurtured and encouraged through their digital literacy with plenty of opportunity for content creation.
