£580 raised for Little Princess Trust
WB in Tiger class has raised so far £580 for the Little Princess Trust and has cut her lovely locks off to be sent to this wonderful charity to be made into a wig. We are very proud of her and she wanted to share this with her friends and teachers.

Help and Support - Covid19
During school closures, a number of organisations have been supporting schools, students and their families in providing online resources for free. Please see appendix 1 for the full list.
In addition to this, a number of settings have been seeking guidance on how to talk to children about the virus and what they can in turn advise parents to do. Both Childline and Newsround have some free resources that schools and families can access:

Schools have been instructed to close to most children after Friday 20th March.

Google Classroom
Waltham Leas is using Google Classroom to facilitate home learning during the school closure. It can be accessed via an app for andriod, iPads or from any device with Internet access at https://classroom.google.com.
To enable the children to complete tasks, they also will need Google Docs. This is available as an app for android devices, Apple devices or any device with Internet access at https://docs.google.com
Unfortunately, Google Classroom is not available to Kindle users.
Each week school will provide work for your child online, using the Google Classroom and where you have requested, hardcopies of work will be sent home or can be picked up from the front office Mon - Fri from 9am to 3pm.
Please be advised that the Admin team will take any queries particular to a class and pass them on to the class teacher. The Admin team can be contacted on the school's telephone number 01427 822419 or via email at office@wallthamleas.net, as we would like all children to be able to access their learning.
