We strive to ensure that Waltham Leas Primary Academy has a friendly, caring, family atmosphere. We offer a warm welcome to our safe, calm environment for children, staff and visitors on a daily basis.

At Waltham Leas Primary Academy, we foster kindness, empathy and understanding so that everyone belongs and knows their voice matters. In our safe, supportive school, differences are celebrated so that everyone can learn, grow and thrive together.

We work closely with families and the wider community to nurture, support and empower each other in times of joy and challenge.

Our aspirational curriculum, delivered through high-quality challenge and support, is enriched with engaging extra-curricular opportunities. This provides the bedstone for our pupils to become independent, resilient and critically engaged learners ready to grow with purpose in an ever-changing world.

Our children are happy and proud to be members of our school community. We get to know them all and develop their individual potential, academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.  We develop and nurture skills, values and attitudes so that our children can  deal effectively with the challenges that they will face in life.  We focus on and encourage the development of such attributes as self-esteem, respect, tolerance, empathy, perseverance and resilience. 

We believe that learning should be fun and exciting, so to enable this, we offer the highest standards of education, based on a curriculum that is designed around the children's needs, and motivates and encourages them in memorable learning experiences.  This is delivered by a highly skilled staff, who have high expectations of the pupils.

We expect the highest quality of behaviour from the pupils.  Their achievements are celebrated, whether they be academic, sporting or artistic.  To enrich their experiences further, we offer a range of extra-curricular activities, appealing to the interests of the children.

The web of relationships that are found in our school are pivotal to our work and are greatly valued. The support, engagement and encouragement of parents is vitally important in enabling us to do our best for the children, and this is enhanced further by a number of other partnerships with a range of agencies. We are very proud to be an active member of our local community. 

We also work closely with a group of local schools to further improve the opportunities we offer for the pupils in our care.

Our endeavours have brought about a number of awards and statuses.  We hold the Centre for Excellence for Industry Education Collaboration award, the Music Mark Award, Platinum Sports Mark and the Eco Schools Award. We also hold the Bronze and Silver Lincolnshire Reading Pledge awards and have the National Online Safety Accreditation.
